SNSDC69 Something Old, New & Blue

There's a new fun challenge over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. Use something old, something new and the color blue.

As you play along, remember to only use digital images. You don't have to use Sweet 'n Sassy digital stamps but it would be terrific if you did. Please share a link to your creation using the Linky feature at the end of today's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge post. If the link feature is down, please add a link with your comment. When uploading to online galleries, please use keyword SNSDC69.

For every card you link to the Challenge Blog throughout the month of August, you will receive one entry in the monthly drawing. One lucky winner will receive 3 digital images of his/her choice from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Store. Please note, if you use Sweet 'n Sassy digital images to create your project, you will receive two entries! Be sure to play along every week... The more you play and/or use SNS digis, the more chances you have to win!

My card uses the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Pippin's Christmas Lights Digital Stamp. I colored it with my very new, first-time-out-of-the-package Spectrum Noir markers on Copic X-Press It Blending Card. The patterned paper is from the Bo Bunny Snowfall collection. I finished my card by adding a very old rub-on sentiment from American Crafts and some Fun Flock by Stampendous.

Shakin' or Should I Say Wobblin' with Excitement

Looking for Annette Witherspoon's Blogiversary Blog Hop? Please scroll down or click here.

Wow, it's been a fun week! All week long, Stampendous and Action Wobbles have been playing together to showcase some amazing projects. I feel like I should do a highlight post. There were incredible cards, fantastic layouts and laugh-out-loud videos. If you missed any of it, I highly recommend checking it all out here.

Today, we are wrapping up the wobbling fun with one big blog hop...and yes, there are prizes. You have until Sunday night to comment on all of the blogs below. Two lucky commenters will win six Action Wobbles and a stamp set.

I created a fun Halloween card using three of my all-time favorite guys: Cling Pumpkinstein, Cling Mumpkin and Cling Count Jack. I love how Stampendous has something for everyone's tastes from super cute to vintage (please check out my earlier vintage/distressed project here). I colored these adorable pumpkins with my Copics, wobbled Pumpkinstein and added Stampendous Stardust Embossing Powder for a little extra pizzazz. The sentiment I created using the Stampendous Small Typewriter Alphabet Perfectly Clear™ Stamps. The background panel was created using the new Stampendous Autumn Words stamp. The patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Mischievous collection. Oh, and I'm often asked what ink I use...it's Tsukineko all the way!

Happy Blogiversary Annette Witherspoon!

SpoonBlogiversaryBadge

Annette Witherspoon is celebrating two years of blogging today so she gathered some of her friends and is having a Blogiversary Blog Hop. Annette has two great prize packages to give away. Stampendous, Pink by Design and a jillian vance design are all sponsors so sit back and be prepared to be inspired. Please leave comments along the way.

I was so honored when Annette asked me to join in the fun. Our friendship began when she commented on my blog. We proceeded to comment back and forth and it wasn't long before we realized we live minutes from each other...a real 'small world' moment. Since then Annette has become one of my biggest cheerleaders. If you're not familiar with her, let me fill you in. She is kind and caring and lots of fun. She's the kind of person you always want to be around because she just makes you feel good. Her laugh is infectious. As a crafter, she is an incredible artist. I love her clean and simple style. Her sense of humor and love of life are apparent when you look at her art. She's the kind of blogger everyone wants as a friend. She spends a lot of time commenting and helping others fulfill their dreams. And believe me, she enables better than anyone.

So when I saw this new Stampendous sentiment, I knew I had to use it to create something to celebrate my friend. It's almost as if it is Annette's mantra. I created a canvas using lots of stamps, neocolor crayons, gesso, gelatos, pitt markers, glitter and embossing enamel (I linked the products I used at the end of my post). It's not a card but it is filled with love and well wishes. Congratulations Annette! May we all enjoy your blog for many years to come.

Here's the Hop List. Be prepared to be wowed. These ladies are my crafting idols!

SNSDC67 3D Flowers

It's Friday, already? Where did the week go? This means there's a new challenge over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. This week's challenge theme is 3D Flower Embellishments.

As you play along, remember to only use digital images. You don't have to use Sweet 'n Sassy digital stamps but it would be terrific if you did. Please share your creation using the Linky feature at the end of today's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge post. If the link feature is down, please add a link with your comment. When uploading to online galleries, please use keyword SNSDC67.

OK, technically my card doesn't fly for this challenge. I made 3D flowers but they are a part of my image, not an embellishment. I couldn't help myself. I just love this one so I'm hoping no one will mind. It's the Sweet 'n Sassy Flowers from Cocoa Digital Stamp. I printed this image four times on Copic X-Press It Blending Card. After coloring one copy entirely, I colored just sectiions of the flowers on the other three copies. Of course, I used my Copics. I then fussy-cut the flower sections and used foam adhesive to layer them on top of the completed image. I added some sparkle with Spicas, a rub-on and some Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper. A quick yet pretty CAS.

I'd love to see your 3D Flower embellishments. Thanks for visiting.

Quoth the Wobbling Raven, "Nevermore."

All this week Stampendous is playing along with the Action Wobbles design team. Action Wobbles are self-adhesive, plastic springs that add a fun, wobbling motion to any project.

In case this is the first you are hearing of this cool collaboration, you can check out what you missed here: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please keep checking back. We will be wobbling all week, ending with a huge Blog Hop on Saturday. Yes, there will be prizes.

Since I had recently 'wobbled' a cute Stampendous kiddos image, I decided I wanted to go in a completely different direction. So I 'wobbled' this incredible Halloween image called "Nevermore."

I started by stamping this fabulous image onto white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and spritzing it with Goosebumps Texture Spray. After it dried, I inked the stamped panel with Ranger Rusty Hinge and Antique Linen Distress Ink. I distressed and inked the edges with Memento Grape Jelly ink.

I stamped and spritzed the image a second time, cut out the raven and inked him with Ranger Pumice Stone Distress ink and Memento Grape Jelly ink. To adhere my 'wobbling' raven to the panel I trimmed down the Action Wobble so it fit behind the image, peeled off the adhesive from both ends and pressed. Simple.

Now for the background. On a panel of kraft cardstock, I inked and distressed the edges; spritzed with water and then sprinkled it with Stampendous Aged Gold Embossing Enamel and Purple Jewel Glitter. I heated the enamel and glitter from the underside...love this technique!

Before adhering it all to the card base, I created one more layer by misting and distressing a piece of cheesecloth.

Here's a little video demo of my raven wobbling:

Please visit the following blogs, making sure to leave a comment on each one. One lucky commenter (picked randomly) will win 6 Action Wobbles and this wonderful "Nevermore" stamp.
